Ganga Lake is a saltwater lake located in eastern province, Mongolia. The lake lies on the transition zone between the southern steppes and the Gobi desert, giving it a unique landscape of lakes, steppes, and sand dunes. Every year during the autumn magnificent swans gather around the Ganga lake and this unique and amazing scenery of hundreds of swans /thousands of swans/ has become major tourist attraction to those traveling around the eastern provinces of Mongolia.
The lake and its wetlands (of which the total area is 32.8 km²) is an important breeding and resting area for endangered migratory birds, including the Great Crested Grebe, the Whooper Swan, and the Ruddy Shelduck.
1. Sukhbaatar Province
Meet our guide and driver at the Bayangol hotel B tower. Drive to the Sukhbaatar province. Today we will have a long journey to the east of the Mongolian territory. 19:00 PM. Arrive at Sukhbaatar province. Check in hotel. 20:00PM. Dinner at downtown restaurant. Overnight atlocal hotel.
After breakfast,We will drive to the Ganga soum or Shiliinbogd mountain. The Shiliinbogd mountain is one of the very honorable and sacred places for Mongolian men. We will see a big session of the swan and take a picture of the symbol of the love. Back to center of the Sukhbaatar province. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, we will drive to Ulaanbaatar city. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar city. End of the trip.
